Technology

Fitzgerald Public Schools remains dedicated to fostering a collaborative learning environment for all students. This environment empowers students and teachers to leverage the transformative power of technology, including a 1:2 device initiative beginning in our elementary schools during the 23-24 school year, and expanding to our secondary during the 24-25 school year.

Strategic Initiatives

  • 1:2 Device Initiative: Equipping each student with a personal device, alongside a shared classroom device, allows for:
    • Greater access to learning resources: Students can access educational materials, online platforms, and learning tools anytime, anywhere.
    • Personalized learning experiences: Technology facilitates individual learning paths, catering to diverse needs and learning styles.
    • Enhanced collaboration: Students can work together seamlessly on projects, share ideas, and engage in interactive learning activities.
  • Continued Investment in Google for Education:
    • The district’s established partnership with Google for Education ensures access to a suite of collaborative tools and streamlined educational programming.
    • This platform fosters improved communication between students, families, and staff, promoting a more connected learning community.
