Thank you, Fitzgerald community!
On behalf of the Board of Education and the Fitzgerald Public Schools staff, we would like to thank the Fitzgerald voters for approving the bond proposal and the replacement of the sinking fund. This investment will allow us to:
⭐️Enhance student and staff safety through upgraded security systems
⭐️Modernize classrooms and expand access to updated technology
⭐️Address aging infrastructure and essential facility needs
⭐️Complete building repairs
⭐️Support the long-term success of every learner in our school district
We are incredibly grateful for your trust and commitment to taking care of what we have and building toward a stronger future—for today’s students and for generations to come.
Stay tuned as we share updates on our progress in making Fitzgerald Public Schools safer, more modern, and better equipped to serve our entire community.

Why replace two separate sinking funds with one?
1️⃣ Updated state laws allow sinking funds to be used for more, like buses, security upgrades, and technology.
2️⃣ Combining the two existing sinking funds into one would slightly reduce the overall sinking fund tax rate for residents (from 3.15 to 3.0 mills).
The sinking fund proposal enables the school district to better meet facility needs.
