Fitzgerald Public Schools conducted a comprehensive review of all school facilities as part of its strategic planning process. School district leaders collaborated with architects and construction professionals to assess both short- and long-term building needs. Key focus areas included: ✔️ Enhancing safety and security ✔️ Improving educational spaces and technology ✔️ Upgrading infrastructure and school sites The school district also gathered input through focus groups with families, staff, students, and community members, as well as an open community survey. Once the project list and estimated costs were finalized, the proposal was submitted to the Michigan Department of Treasury for review and approval. Following state approval, the Board of Education placed the ZERO-tax-rate increase bond proposal on the August 5 ballot. Remember to vote by absentee ballot after June 26 or at the polls on August 5!
